At Delta Groove Yoga, we honor Kundalini Yoga as a living, sacred practice — one that meets each student exactly where they are. Our teaching style is trauma-aware, inclusive, and heart-centered, guided by deep respect for the lineage of Kundalini Yoga and a belief in its power to foster healing and transformation in modern life.
We do not ask you to conform to a rigid system or external ideal; instead, we invite you to explore the practices in a way that feels authentic and nourishing to your unique path. Through breath, movement, sound, and stillness, we create a safe and supportive space where you can strengthen your body, uplift your spirit, and deepen your capacity for presence and joy — both on and off the mat.
This fall, Olivia Rokotnitz & Dr. Valentine Leonard will offer the DGYS 200-hour and advanced 300-hour Yoga Alliance-registered Kundalini Yoga Training at the Yoga Landing studio in Downtown Chattanooga.
Upon completion of the program, you will receive a 200-hour or Advanced 300-hour RYT (Registered Yoga Alliance) Yoga teacher certification.
Our training is structured in modular weekend intensives — giving you time to integrate the teachings between sessions and honor your other life commitments.

Schedule
Fridays 5:00 - 8:00 p, Saturdays, 5:30 a - 7:00 p, Sundays 5:30 a - 4:00 p. These are 25hr in-person weekends, with breaks for lunch and snacks.
In addition, there will be 8 hours (4 times 2 hr classes) of livestream classes in-between each module for all trainees. Day and time tbd with the group.
For the 300hr trainees only, there will be an additional 2 hr virtual check-in once a month throughout the duration of the training. Day and time tbd with the group.
It is highly recommended that trainees attend the livestream classes as they are being taught. Exceptionally, recordings will be made available.

Curriculum & Certification
Module 1
October 17 - 19
The first step in this training to awaken into higher realities is through the physical body. We are all here to find our Truth, and this module will help you begin this journey through the physical body: skin, muscles, bones - the outer layers. You will experience the body as a vehicle for enlightenment and Kundalini Yoga as a tool to finely tune this multi-dimensional system. This module introduces the basic components of Kundalini Yoga, which include Kriyas (the science of sequence), Pranayama (breathwork), Meditations, Mantras, Bhandas (physical body locks), and Mudras (energetic hand postures). Students will delve into what Kundalini is, and its lineage in the vast web of Yoga.
Module 2
November 21 - 23
In this Module you will identify and develop a personal Sadhana (spiritual discipline) using Yogic Numerology. According to this system issued from ancient Babylonia, our date of birth is a formula from the Infinite which contains much coded information that can help us discover our life path toward more happiness, success, and the accomplishment of our life mission. Learning how to calculate your numerology will give you insight into what your soul is here to learn and its karmic lessons, thus enabling you to move from a place of fate to a space of destiny. You will learn how to construct a practice honoring your soul mission, powered by your intentions while staying open to influences outside your conscious mind.
Module 3
December 12 - 14
Tap into your inner alchemy! We have to feel in order to heal. To be in control of our mind and direct our personal growth, we must hone our ability to be fully present in the here and now. We have to learn to be intelligently aware of our emotions and reactions, whether negative or positive, to move into a state of Neutrality. We also have to get real with ourselves in seeing and moving through our addiction to instant gratification and challenge our dependence on food, drugs, alcohol, relationships, technology, and/or money. This module includes kriyas that focus on the immune, digestive, and lymphatic systems, and meditations that allow us to observe our thoughts and emotions to move stagnant energy out of the body and mind - such as healing circles, partner meditations, and rebirthing practices.
Module 4
January 16 - 18
The true adventure of Consciousness is the journey from who you think you are to who you actually are. It is the difference between sleepwalking through fate versus living your destiny. In order to make this leap, you must discover how to transcend the contingent realities and labels that have been instilled in you by subconscious programming, genetics, culture, & society. We are not our Egos. We are not our Minds. However, when we direct our thoughts and words toward the outcome we most desire - Grace is ignited. Grace is freedom. It is liberation from the finite identification of self and release into the infinite, where the impossible becomes possible. In this module you will learn kriyas and meditations to observe how your mindset can be determined by your glandular secretions. This is a deep dive into how the metaphysical anatomy of the Chakras relates to the endocrine system.
Module 5
February 20 - 22
This module is about refining the subtleties of our practices to hear the whispers of our Soul Self. Ecstasy can be your baseline when you live from the heart. The heart is the seat of the soul. We have to move from the head to the heart and we do so by expanding our radiance, or Aura. Our Aura is in fact an emanation of our nervous system. Through strong Nervous System Kriyas and Pranayama practices, we will build and strengthen our Radiant Bodies and allow our Souls to shine - creating and projecting our reality into the world. We develop our human courage so our reality into the world uplifts ourselves and society. This is something that can become the norm, and that we can thrive in. Life can be a perfect dance between celebration & expansion, destiny & focus. This is the module of the Radiant Soul Warrior.
Module 6
March 20 - 22
When you learn to let go, you can become a conduit for these evolutionary teachings of Kundalini Yoga. "Be the change you want to see in the world," as Mahatma Gandhi so wisely taught. Change begins on the individual level. What can happen when all individuals feel inspired to be the best version of themselves? It is part of our job as conscious beings to make people feel the desire to raise their awareness, and Kundalini Yoga is the Yoga of Awareness. We are here to awaken, uplift, and inspire our families and communities. It is not about what divides us - It is about what connects us. Dwelling in that truth means finding our own unique way of living in service: of carrying the healing we receive from our practice out into the world. As yogis we exist in an active state of compassion. We practice yoga to have the courage and strength to live with an open heart and serve others. In this module, students will work on Self Mastery practices, Masterminding their future, and creating a legacy to live by. It is about Peace and Prosperity for all, overcoming adversity, and spearheading a peaceful (R)evolution through Yoga.
Module 7
April 17 - 19
Congratulations! In this module, we celebrate your graduation into the higher octave of your Self. You will complete the final process of your certification to be a Delta Groove Kundalini Yoga teacher by teaching a class to your yoga classmates/teachers and taking your final exam. Then you may spread the love to all. WAHE GURU!
Additional Certification Requirements
200-Hour: In addition to the 7 weekend modules:

12 Classes of Delta Groove Kundalini Yoga (in person or livestream)**

Complete on your own and document three Sadhanas (personal practices).

Turn in one class plan following each module (6 classes total).

Practice-teach 3 classes to your peers and mentor.

Teach a practice class to your peers with the Lead Teachers present (during Module 7)

Open book final exam.
Advanced 300-Hour: In addition to the 7 weekend modules:

Monthly livestream check-in for Advanced Trainees only. Schedule tbd based on group availability.

12 classes of Delta Groove Kundalini Yoga (in person or livestream) & Recording your observations of two DGY Kundalini Yoga Classes. You will be credited with 12 free classes at Delta Groove Yoga to complete this requirement.

5 hours of practice teaching as a Lead Teacher (to be scheduled outside of training weekends. This can be done virtually).
-
8 hrs mentoring 200Hr Trainees in between modules (this can be done virtually) + 12 hrs observing 200hr Trainees practice teaching and offering feedback (during module 7).

5 hours of Seva Yoga: Facilitate 5 hours of teaching as a Seva Yoga project to a community of your choice and obtain 5 evaluation forms from your students.

Final Dharma Project: This project radiates your talents and gifts out into the world through the art of Kundalini Yoga.

Part 1: Complete and document one 31 minute meditation for 120 consecutive days.

Part 2: Plan and write out 2 two-hour Kundalini Yoga workshops organized around a theme of your choice.

Part 3: Create marketing material for these workshops (Description, Flyer and Social Media Post).

Part 4: Teach these workshops with one of your Lead trainers present.

Final Exam: To be completed prior to or during Module 7 + Oral Defense of your exam with your Lead Teachers.

Your Guides: Olivia & Valentine
Olivia Rokotnitz & Dr. Valentine Leonard have been described as explosive yet always grounded. Their approach is finely tuned for a dynamic transformation of the human element: mind, body, spirit & heart. They are committed to translating these ancient practices with passion, levity and depth to leave students feeling uplifted and inspired to be their most authentic Self.

Olivia is a committed student of Kundalini Yoga in all its forms and teachings. She is a long time student of Kundalini Laya Yoga Master Kirantana Khalsa. A Kundalini Yoga Senior Teacher for Ravi Singh & Ana Brett, and a trained Khalsa Way Prenatal Teacher with Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, Olivia has also trained in Vinyasa, Hatha, and Tantra Yoga with some of the world’s premier teachers. Olivia grew up singing & playing many instruments and has been studying Yoga since she was a teenager.
For Valentine, it all started with philosophy. Wonder first, and then in its wake all the questions. She wrote her Ph.D dissertation in Philosophy to go as deep as she could. Soon she came up against the pitfall of classical thought, which is to say, the body—The living, desiring, blissful, sweating, sick, healing, moving body. This is how yoga came about: an obvious answer to the most fundamental question, What is a Good Life?
Valentine went on to train in the US and Europe with masters faithful to the oldest traditions but freed from all dogma (Ravi Singh, Kirantana Kaur Khalsa, Satyavrati Karta). Thanks to their transmission, her passion, her commitment, and 20+ years of teaching experience (philosophy, yoga, creative writing) from the university level to kindergarten, she has been offering classes, workshops, trainings and international retreats in France, Mexico and Costa-Rica since 2012. Valentine is the author of two books, a philosophy textbook on creativity and memory in thought, and Even the Breath, a novel in which Kundalini Yoga saves the world. Facilitating a group dynamic which reassures and inspires, connects and liberates, has become her specialty.
Together Olivia & Valentine find a unique rhythm and structure for the Kundalini Yoga Kriyas, mantras, and breath meditations that students have loved for years. They each have studied, taught, and led Kundalini Yoga Trainings together since 2010. Their mission is to teach students how to awaken their Soul, speak their truth, and manifest with love, light & peace. They are dedicated to helping each student discover and express their gifts in teaching and in life.
