What Trainees say:

"What I liked most about DGYS Training was the teachers of course!!!! Valentine's and Olivia's combined wealth of knowledge, wisdom and passion for Kundalini Yoga is commendable and super inspiring! I loved how each module flowed into the next one. The workbooks that went along with each module were carefully thought out and done in a highly professional manner. I am grateful I will always be able to use them for my own practices going forward. My most favorite part of the Training was being in class with others and doing these modules together for 3 days each month! This has been such a positive experience that I will always remember and keep close to my heart!"

Also known as the Yoga of Awareness, Kundalini yoga is a powerful tool to enhance personal freedom, self discovery, and soulful living. Delta Groove Kundalini Training is the place to initiate yourself and unlock your inner talents. We will teach you how to Tune-In, Tune-Up, and Transform in order to embody fully your most radiant Self!

ABOUT

ABOUT OUR trainingS

All Yoga aims at developing Self-Mastery through the union of self to Self or finite to Infinite; however, this training focuses on a specific branch of the yogic tree known as Kundalini Yoga. Using Kriyas (the science of sequence), meditations, pranayama (breathwork), mantras, bandhas (energetic body locks), and mudras, Kundalini Yoga provides a systematic approach to generate, capture, and direct energy from within to empower ourselves, and in the process, empowering the world as a whole.

Whether you are a therapist, an artist, an accountant, and/or at a crossroads in your personal or professional life, this training can give you the tools you need to reset your body, strengthen your nervous system, awaken your creativity, deepen your awareness, amplify your clarity, and activate your most radiant self.

Delta Groove Yoga School is a 200 hour and Advanced 300 hour Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School. Teaching is not necessarily for everyone, and many go through this training primarily for their personal development! You will develop a yogic toolkit to establish your own daily Sadhana (committed personal practice) and take these sacred teachings out into the world as a teacher, healer, and radiant being. Through honest participation, you'll cultivate personal greatness and meet other great yogis who share a vision to heal, uplift, and inspire each other and the world. SAT NAM!

training FAQ

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 200 HOUR & 300 HOUR TRAINING?

200-Hour training is much like a B.A: You get acquainted with the many layers of yoga philosophy and practice; you learn the basic discipline and the tools you need to develop a personal practice, embrace your destiny, and begin to share it with the world.

Advanced 300-Hour training is much like an M.A: You have to have completed a 200-hour yoga teacher certification in order to qualify; you will go deeper into the philosophy and practice of Kundalini yoga; you will apprentice with your lead teachers and refine your teaching skills; you will grow in your understanding, discipline and embodiment of Kundalini yoga in order to consistently heal, uplift and inspire.

WHAT IS THE DAILY SCHEDULE FOR EACH WEEKEND?

200-Hour: Fridays 12:00 p.m - 7:00 p.m., Saturdays, 5:30 a.m - 7:00 p.m., Sundays 5:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. This is a 27 hour weekend schedule (there will be breaks for lunch and snacks). If you can not attend during the day for the Friday Noon class, you will need to be at the studio by 3:00, and you will be required to view and practice with the recording of the Noon class on your own time.

Advanced 300-Hour: Same, with an additional hour on Sunday afternoon + 18 weekly Tuesday evening workshops, 7:00-9:00pm, reserved for advanced trainees.

We work on all the bodily systems (nervous, circulatory, glandular), the heart, the mind & soul. At DGY, our SOULful GROOVE is always accompanied by music and fun! We have a unique rhythm and structure for the Kundalini Kriyas, and we incorporate the growing knowledge of modern neuroscience and philosophy into all of our teaching. It's how we Groove!

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL TRAINING?

The content and scope of the trainings are the same. You will receive comprehensive printed manuals for both trainings. You will be expected to complete the same requirements for certification.

The main difference lies in the intensity and geographical accessibility of the teachings. While in-person training crystallizes around intensive 25-hour weekends about once a month over seven months, the Virtual training is spread over 12 months, with one 6-hour intensive one Sunday a month and two-hour long weekly workshops every Thursday--this is still plenty intensive enough to experience the exalting and transformative effects of Kundalini Yoga in every aspect of your life!

While we expect you to be present in Livestream courses and discussions, Virtual Training gives you access to recorded classes and workshops when needed.

WHAT IS THE DAILY SCHEDULE FOR EACH IN-PERSON WEEKEND?

Fridays 5:00 - 8:00 p, Saturdays, 5:30 a - 7:00 p, Sundays 5:30 a - 4:00 p. These are 25hr in-person weekends, with breaks for lunch and snacks.

In addition, there will be 8 hours (4 times 2 hr classes) of livestream classes in-between each module for all trainees. Day and time tbd with the group.

For the 300hr trainees only, there will be an additional 2 hr virtual check-in once a month throughout the duration of the training. Day and time tbd with the group.

It is highly recommended that trainees attend the livestream classes as they are being taught. Exceptionally, recordings will be made available.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE DELTA GROOVE STYLE OF KUNDALINI YOGA?

There is a boldness, a fierceness, an enduring beauty in Kundalini Yoga. We are committed to it, and at the same time we are re-aligning with the original intention of the ethics of yoga in education, community, and consciousness. Our teachings reflect clarity, kindness, and transparency.

Our training includes a well-rounded education in the history, philosophy, science, and practice of all Yoga as well as of the specific lineage of Kundalini Yoga. Yoga philosophy tells us that there are 5 layers/sheaths of the Self, known as the Koshas. Only the densest is made of matter as we know it - the Physical Body. The other four are energy states invisible to the physical eye, though we can easily sense their presence inside us when we pay close attention - Energy, E-motions, Ego/Intellect, & Soul. We have built this training to take you through all the physical body systems (circulatory, lymphatic, endocrine, limbic, etc…) through the subtle bodies. Then, by the 7th module, we focus on how you will take this work out into the world - the Evolution of Yoga and Embodying Your Truth!

And of course, at Delta Groove Yoga our signature SOULful GROOVE is always accompanied by music and fun. We have a unique rhythm and structure for the Kundalini kriyas, and we incorporate the growing knowledge of modern neuroscience and philosophy into all of our teaching. It's how we Groove!

We wield this practice of Kundalini Yoga against the sufferings of the world. We really hope that you will join us!
